Bobby Goldwater, CVE, has had a career of impressive accomplishments including serving 24 years in a number of executive positions at Madison Square Garden, opening STAPLES Center as the arena’s first Senior Vice President and General Manager and having a leading role in the successful effort to bring Major League Baseball back to Washington, D.C. Bobby is the President of The Goldwater Group consulting firm with notable projects in sports, entertainment and venue management and is the chairman of the Washington DC Sports Hall of Fame. He is completing his 15th year as a distinguished faculty member with Georgetown University’s Sports Industry Management master’s program, with which he served an 18-month term as its Interim Associate Dean, initiated its online curriculum and developed a sports management education program in association with the Josoor Institute in Doha, Qatar. He is the co-author of the textbook, "The Sports Management and Marketing Playbook, Second Edition." A longtime IAVM member, Bobby served on the Executive Committee and represented the Universities sector on the Board of Directors, is the chair of the Academic Committee and is a member of the Industry Affairs Committee. He is the host of the monthly "Focus FOURward" Zoomcast series.
