Adam Shell is a recent addition to the Traffic Operations Bureau at the Iowa Department of Transportation supporting the Cooperative Automated Transportation program. Adam provides Intelligent Transportation System funding and programming support as well as a variety of Geographic Information Systems and data analysis support to the bureau. Adam has worked at the Iowa Department of Transportation for nearly fifteen years spending a majority of this time in the Systems Planning Bureau with a primary focus of supporting and coordinating travel demand modeling activities for the nine Iowa metropolitan planning orgranizations. Adam graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Community & Regional Planning and a Master’s Degree in Transportation.
