Robert N. Dingess has 25 years of public policy, legislative and association experience with a specific emphasis on surface transportation safety, digital infrastructure and vehicle automation technologies. He currently chairs the Innovation Council V2X Subcommittee and Pavement Marking Committee for the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA). He serves on Driving Automation System (DAS) related committees within the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (NCUTCD). As the founding CEO of the Geospatial Transportation Mapping Association (GTMA), he focused the organization’s attention on the potential transformative impact of digital infrastructure and automated vehicle technologies on the road construction and traffic engineering communities. He has spent the last five years working to bridge the gap between the automotive and road infrastructure industries in support of DAS technologies. Mr. Dingess has a B.S. degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University and a Masters in Transportation Policy, Operations and Logistics from George Mason University.
