Ben McKeever is the Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) Program Manager at the California PATH Program of the University of California at Berkeley. In this role, Mr. McKeever is responsible for the development and growth of a robust and coherent program at PATH in the area of CAV research. Ben is currently leading several high-profile projects including: Caltrans CAV Strategic Plan, Automated Vehicle (AV) Industry Survey of Transportation Infrastructure Needs, Early Opportunities for Automation in California Managed Lanes, and FHWA’s Truck Platooning Early Deployment Assessment. Prior to joining PATH in 2016, Mr. McKeever acquired over 18 years of experience working in both the private and public sector to deliver intelligent transportation system (ITS) solutions to improve safety and mobility on our transportation network. Mr. McKeever holds a Master’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering for the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Virginia. He is also a registered Civil Engineer in California and Missouri.
