Dr. Houssem Abdellatif holds a Diploma Degree in Mobile Robotics and Control Engineering and a PhD in Mechatronics, Robotics and Control Engineering. He first started his career as Research Engineer at Hannover Center of Mechatronics and six years later joined ITK Engineering AG. There. Early 2016 he joined NorCom IT AG as Vice President Automotive and end of 2016 moved forward to a new challenge at TÜV SÜD as Global Head for Autonomous & Connected Driving. In his current role, he is responsible for all global TÜV SÜD activities with respect to autonomous and connected driving. In this area, he and his global team are working on developing relevant hybrid test approaches, combining physical testing with virtual simulation, relevant functional safety and cyber security assessments as well as regulation development to enable international homologation of these new automated technologies.
