Jennifer Carter is Sr. Manager for Professional Services with SmartDrive Systems, a big data video analytics company delivering driver performance solutions and transportation intelligence to transform fleet safety. She works on the professional services side of the company, working with AV companies, universities, and government agencies to leverage SmartDrive’s real-world video data to identify and test edge cases for self-driving vehicles. She’s been in the ITS industry for 18 years. Prior to joining SmartDrive in May she spent 3 years at the mapping company HERE Technologies, 2 years at ITS America, and 12 years at SAIC/Leidos as a consultant to USDOT. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Transportation Engineering from Virginia Tech.
