Kirk T. Steudle is Senior Vice President of Econolite, focused on excellence in Intelligent Transportation System design, deployment, operations and maintenance, including its subsidiary CAVita. Mr. Steudle also served as the Interim President and CEO of the American Center for Mobility until March 2019. As former director of the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), Steudle successfully managed MDOT’s $4.7 billion-dollar budget and was responsible for the construction, maintenance, and operation of nearly 10,000 miles of Michigan’s highways and more than 4,000 highway bridges at a department with 2,700 employees. Steudle is a nationally recognized leader in the development of connected vehicle technology, serving as chair for the Intelligent Transportation Society of America and a member of the Program Advisory Committee to the USDOT. His resume includes chairing the Transportation Research Board executive committee, and serving as the 2011-2012 president to the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO).
