Dr. Casagrande has spent his career combining deep scientific expertise with novel methodologies to tackle the most daunting threats facing the nation. He has led some of the most complex and far-reaching risk assessments to guide government decisionmaking on emerging infectious diseases, triage after a nuclear attack and veterinary science. Dr. Casagrande holds an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Biology from Cornell University and a PhD from MIT in biology.
