Dr. Christian Haas is Professor of quantitative research methods at Hochschule Fresenius – University of Applied Sciences and Founding Director of the Institute of Complex System Research. He coordinates different government-funded research projects and R&D cooperation with partners from the industry like DB - Deutsche Bahn, DB Schenker, MAN, Iveco or Samsung. His current research refers on the one hand to human-machine-interactions and neuropsychological analysis of human behavior, e.g. human information processing and decision making, and on the other hand on data science, modeling and simulations in the transport and logistics system. A further topic focuses on the development of autonomous systems in particular autonomous vehicles. He is member of scientific-, editorial- and review-boards of different international journals and organizations. Besides his research activities he is consulting NGOs, politicians and industrial leaders in different countries with respect to technological changes and its physiological and psychological consequences.
