Dr. Polzin recently accepted an appointment at USDOT as a Senior Advisor for Research and Technology after having previously served as the Director of Mobility Policy Research at the Center for Urban Transportation Research at the University of South Florida. His expertice includes travel behavior and travel demand, public transportation, travel data analysis, and transportation decision-making. His current research interests include the implications of new technology on travel behavior. Dr. Polzin is a Civil Engineering with a BSCE from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from Northwestern University.
