Henk Schuurman graduated as Civil Engineer at the Technical University of Delft. From 1991 to 1996 he worked as a researcher at the Transportation Planning and Transportation Modelling department at the Technical University of Delft. His main research topics were Traffic Flow Theory and Simulation. In 1997 Henk joined the Center for Transport and Navigation at Rijkswaterstaat. He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of ITS and is now involved in several C-ITS and Automated Driving projects and platforms. His recent activities are: Head of RWS knowledge domain Road Traffic, Coordinator and Specialist Advisor of the Rijkswaterstaat Smart Mobility Programme, Member of the Cedr working group on Connected and Automated Driving and Dutch representative for the EU CCAM platform.
