Dr. Vasilis Sourlas (male) received his Diploma degree from the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department, University of Patras, Greece, in 2004 and the M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the same department in 2006. In 2013 he received his PhD from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Thessaly (Volos), Greece. In Jan. 2015 he joined the Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department, UCL, London to pursue his two years Marie Curie IEF. Since 2017 he is working as a senior researcher in ICCS-NTUA (I-sense group), participating and leading various EU-funded projects, among them the ICT4CART, 5G-MOBIX and CONCORDA all related to automated driving. His main interests are in the area of Computer Networking, Future Internet architectures and integration of 5G technologies in automated driving functionality. His research has been awarded the best paper awards in 3 international conferences (IFIP Networking 2015, IEEE LANMAN 2016 και ACM MobiArch 2016).
