Shawn brings a unique perspective having worked as an engineer in both the civil and automotive industry. His career began at Ford Motor Company, where he worked in active safety research, and as part of the Crash Avoidance Metrics Partnership (CAMP). With CAMP, he worked alongside multiple automotive OEMs on the development of safety applications based on V2V and V2I as part the USDOT connected vehicle efforts. Previously, he was a partner at Testquip LLC, where he worked with several Universities and State DOTs on the development and acceptance of performance-based pavement testing equipment. In his current role at 3M, he is working to define infrastructure-based solutions to support connected and automated vehicles.
