Walter Stockwell, Ph.D. is Starsky’s Director of Safety Policy. At Starsky Walter is leading the safety processes around the development of an unmanned truck. Before Starsky, Walter worked in a variety of industries that demand a high level of safety and reliability, including aviation, oil & gas, and automotive. Most recently Walter worked at DJI as their Director of Technical Standards, leading their efforts to create new industry standards for drones and representing DJI on a nation-wide industry-government partnership to promote UAS safety. He was an FAA DMIR for over seven years. Walter earned his Ph.D. in Physics at U.C. Berkeley.
