Ouster is a robotics startup developing lidar-centric software and hardware, founded in 2015 and located in the Mission District of San Francisco. We design and manufacture high performance lidar sensors that outperform the products from competitors at much lower cost. The software team is building an automotive safety product with all of the elements of a full stack AV company - embedded systems, scalability, mapping, odometry, perception, and prediction. We believe lidar is key to the future of robotics, mapping, virtual reality, and autonomous vehicles, and we'd love to share the new ways Ouster's team has learned to use our lidar technology to solve these problems.
