The Water Security Division (WSD) is responsible for carrying out EPA’s role as the sector-specific agency for the water and wastewater systems sector. WSD has been working to help utilities protect drinking water and wastewater infrastructure since the passage of the Bioterrorism Act of 2002. They have more than 30 resources and tools to help utilities prepare for, respond to and recover from all hazards.
