WINDPOWER Conference & Exhibition 2019

New Winds on the Horizon – Where will the Wind Blow in Terms of Financing Structures Going Forward? (Room Power Station)

Wind project financing has evolved significantly over the years and continues to do so as the industry prepares for the phase-out of the production tax credit (PTC). During this transition the industry must consider the following questions:

How will debt and tax equity markets evolve in the early 2020s?
What challenges will arise as financing structures shift to an increasing mix of debt with tax equity in a world without PTC?

How will structures adapt to still take advantage of depreciation benefits and allow for a better co-existence of different sources of debt on the capital stack?

Financing experts will gather in this financial horizon panel to discuss the evolving nature of wind project finance. The panel will also wade into offshore waters to explore how well-prepared tax equity and debt markets are to supply capital to the expected offshore wind boom.

This session is accredited by the State Bar of Texas.
