Emerging Fixed Wireless Broadband Opportunities for Utilities (Room 202A)

This panel will address new and emerging opportunities for utilities involving fixed, wireless broadband spectrum involving a mix of licensed and unlicensed spectrum. Speakers will be focusing on the new Citizens Broadband Radio Service in the 3.5 GHz band, additional Educational Broadband Service spectrum in the 2.5 GHz band, that is expected to come online as the FCC completes its updated rules for the band, and TV White spaces, unlicensed spectrum in the 600 MHz television band that is now widely available in rural markets for fixed broadband use-cases with the FCC's recent clarification of its rules governing the band.
