Telecom Refresh Program (TRP) (Room 203BC)

The Telecom Refresh Program (TRP) is a multi-year effort to replace aging Telecommunications Systems as well as build a more redundant and robust network. It will ensure continued delivery and availability of Oncor systems, such as the Transmission Management System (TMS), Distribution Management System (DMS), and Advanced Metering System (AMS). This program will refresh Oncor’s legacy microwave and land mobile radio systems, replace aging tail circuit technology through the deployment of fiber and wireless solutions, deploy a field area network utilizing 700MHz and 900MHz frequencies, and build a network that ensures seamless end-to-end connectivity of IP traffic across the refreshed and expanded telecom network.
