CM1 | Launch, Sustain, and Measure a Claim-Closure Project’s Impact (Room Islander B-C)

A workers’ comp manager, a risk manager, an actuary, and a claims consultant will relate their hands-on experience shepherding a successful claims closure project from launch to measuring its actuarial impact. The case study will offer tips for building the business case to fund the project, including actuarial tools for identifying expected ROI. The presenters will share operational hurdles they overcame, the wait before favorable actuarial results emerge, and how they aligned results with operational objectives. You’ll also hear about the effort and resources required to launch and maintain the program long after the closure project ends.
