Building an optimum claims program now requires reducing an employer’s total cost of risk while providing injured workers with quality care and a positive experience. Cost management and employee-centric managed care are essential, as is claims handing that incorporates wellness, advocacy, and recovery. The presenters will discuss building a claims program incorporating those elements. They will share a large employer’s real-life successes and challenges to show the necessary focus for developing a program in partnership with a TPA. They will also describe key measures for evaluating program success.
